Small Horhan rises next to Mount Syniak. Northern-east slopes are very steep and almost inaccessible. Its top is entirely covered with stony placers called «horhany». The name of the mountain derives from the name of the rocks. Mountain slopes located below meadows are covered with dense forests.
Small Horhan together with a nearby mountain Syniak create a 6 km long mountain range called Syniak.
Polianytsia and Tatariv are the nearest settlements, from where tourists usually start their trip to the top of the mountain. It is worth mentioning that steep slopes and stony placers make hiking rather complicated.
