Winter is a long-awaited time, which is filled with interesting entertainment and fun. However, during this period our feathered friends need our help the most. Some of birds fly away to warm countries. Our help is very important to those birds, which stay for wintering in our cities, towns, and villages. Traditionally for several years in a row, the employees of the Carpathian National Nature Park have been holding an ecological campaign "Help Birds in Winter".
The beauty of nature would be incomplete without birds. They are our true friends. Birds are also defenders of agriculture and forestry. Their cheerful songs, bright colors of their feather revives nature and provide us with cheerfulness and joy.
An Eco-Friendly Bird-Feeder Recipe
Ingredients:
- Wheat
- Millet
- Oat flakes
- Wheat groats
- Corn grifts
- Semolina
- Chopped peas
- Rice
- Flour
- Water
Preparation:
Pour all types of cereals in a large container in random order. At the end add flour. Mix everything, adding warm water to make a flour paste. The mixture should be thick but sticky. Put the prepared fodder in a pan for cookies with different shapes like stars, hearts, mushrooms, and flowers. Then press it a little with your fingers. Make a hole with a pencil and gently squeeze the figure out of the pan. The finished product should dry in a warm place. When the fodder is completely dry, pull a ribbon or a piece of rope into the hole. The eco-friendly feeder is ready.
