The church is situated by the motorway and was built in the 1870-s. Firstly it was mentioned in 1880. The sacred building was built according to the project of the Polish architect F. Menchynskiy.
The church is one of the oldest architectural monuments of the national level which has been preserved until the present time. The church belongs to the sacred monuments of the Hutsul folk art.
