This old church is situated on the hill in the village center. According to one version, it was built in 1615. The sacred building was moved to Vorokhta and placed in the area located above the new cemetery in 1780. Ninety years later, the church was moved to its current place. After two centuries, the oldest local church was renovated. Today, it is a unique gem of Hutsul sacred architecture. In the 20-th century, the church attracted attention of many painters and art experts.
In front of the church there is the first memorial cross dated back to the year of 1785.
