MAMA‒86‒YAREMCHE
MAMA‒86‒Yaremche unites people of different professions who take care of environment and health for current and future generations. Most of our members are employees of the Carpathian National Nature Park.
Since 2000, the organization has been working on the territory of Yaremche region in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, taking an active part in solving various environmental and social problems in close cooperation with local authorities and the community.
Main areas of activity:
- participating in formation of local environmental policy
- expanding citizens’ access to safe drinking water and sanitation
- reducing exposure of chemicals to human health and the environment
- protecting and preserving natural resources and ethno-cultural heritage.
Members of the organization successfully combine information and educational activities with practical environmental projects aimed at solving important environmental and social problems of the region. The most significant of them are:
- inventorying, cleaning, and certification of 15 public wells in Yaremche region
- construction of a new branch of water supply for residents of the central part of Vorokhta
- implementing eco-sanitary technologies (construction of 14 eco-toilets and production of compost boxes for residents of Vorokhta and Mykulychyn)
- introduction of energy-saving and alternative technologies (replacement of 100 incandescent light bulbs with energy-efficient ones in the Vorokhta secondary school); installation of thermal solar collectors in the Delyatyn catechetical school and the Mykulychyn boarding school
- installing a drinking water purification system in the Mykulychyn boarding school and the Mykulychyn primary school
- constructing local sewage treatment facilities for the ethnographic museum in the Mykulychyn village
- construction of 6 sites for separate collection of solid household waste in Mykulychyn village and Yaremche town
- implementing water protection measures (installation of information and warning signs, tables, construction of hydrotechnical structures on the Zhonka River in Yaremche)
- liquidating warehouses of unsuitable pesticides in Kinchaky and Novi Skomorokht of Halytsk rayon in Ivano-Frankivsk region
- conducting training for Park employees and kindergarten administrations about creation of safety plans for the child’s living environment in kindergartens and at home
- constructing the «Summer Class» and educational infrastructure for the «Green Laboratory» for conducting educational trainings on nature in the Carpathian National Nature Park in geographical research, physical and chemical research of water quality, forestry, botanic, and zoological research.
The organization conducts seminars, trainings, conferences, round tables, public hearings on topical issues of environmental protection, and publishes a lot of informational materials.
Members of the organization also organize events for environmental different dates, in particular, World Water Day, World Earth Day, «Let’s make Ukraine clean», Weeks of the ecological consumer, etc. The experience of the organization is spread both within Ukraine and beyond it.

PROBIY
Probiy operates on the territories of the Yaremche amalgamated community and the Carpathian National Natural Park. It unites people interested in solving environmental issues of the region. Most of the organization’s members are employees of the Carpathian National Nature Park.
Our main goal is to promote the development of civil society by ensuring people rights for a safe and healthy environment, as well as the protecting cultural heritage.
Our key tasks:
– collecting and sharing information among citizens about the state of environment and its impact on health
– involving Ukrainian citizens in our programs, which are aimed at protecting the rights of Ukrainian citizens for a clean and healthy environment
– establishing effective interaction, exchange of experience between authorities and related local, national and international public organizations
– assisting in providing information at the local and national levels
– participating in a decision-making process of state bodies and access to justice concerning environment and health
– comprehensive support for the protection of environmental rights and interests of citizens of Ukraine and public organizations by representing them in state power bodies, Ukrainian local authorities, Ukrainian public organizations at national meetings, congresses, conferences, providing them with information and methodical assistance
– organizing and holding public events such as conferences, seminars, round tables, trainings, and public hearings for local inhabitants, and authorities
– involving community into activities aimed at solving environmental issues and issues in the field of consumer rights protection.
In cooperation with the Park, we implement different environmental and educational initiatives.

PROMOCARPATHIANS
Our organization combines ambitious inhabitants striving to transform the Yaremche region into the real gem of the Ukrainian Carpathians to make it a popular tourism destination. Promocarpathians wants to unite efforts of local businesses, local government, and local community members with the goal to establish and maintain a positive image of Yaremche and neighboring settlements as an eco-friendly region and popular tourism destination, in order to promote positive growth and change for our local communities.

Improve information accessibility of Yaremche, surrounding settlements, and the CNNP among foreigners by maintaining an English language Facebook page and publishing an online tourism guide.
Education Programs
Promoting the image of local community by increasing their knowledge of English language, culture, and lifestyle of the inhabitants of different countries as well as providing foreigners with an opportunity to improve their knowledge of Ukrainian language, culture, lifestyle, and traditions.
Small business initiatives
Provide local entrepreneurs with tools, training, and a favorable environment for implementation of their initiatives in order to improve the attractiveness of Yaremche community to tourists.

CENTER FOR SOCIAL AND BUSINESS INITIATIVES
The town youth public organization «Center of Social and Business Initiatives» in Yaremche was established in 2004. The founders of the organization were 8 young entrepreneurs who built its activities on the principles of voluntarism, self-government, legality, and transparency.
The mission of our organization is to achieve sustainable social and economic development of the Carpathian region based on market economy, European standards and good governance.
Goals of the organization are:
- creating an open civil society in Ukraine
- realizing scientific, creative, political, organizational potential of young people
- sustainable economic development and well-being of the communities of the Carpathian region
- formation of European consciousness, political and environmental culture of citizens.
