Pozhyzhevska

Mount Pozhyzhevska is included in many trails in the Chornohora massif. Relief and vegetation are similar to other mountains of Chornohora. Before the Second World War, there was a border between Poland and Czechoslovakia not far from the top of the mountain.

On a flat slope in the north-east (called the Pozhyzhevska valley), there is a meteorological station, as well as a biological station of the Carpathian Ecology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Mount Pozhyzhevska can be reached by several routes from the Zaroslyak checkpoint (including the mountains Shpytsi and Breskul, Lake Nesamovyte and the Hoverla waterfalls).
