    The Huk Waterfall is one of the most picturesque natural sites of the Horhany mountain ridge. It is located in the Zhenets Tract at an altitude of 900 m. a.s.l.. The water falls down by a heavy flow from a height of 15 meters. Local people call it Huk which means noise, because of a loud roaring sound produced by the waterfall. You can reach the waterfall by visiting the nature-discovery trail “To the Huk Waterfall”. It starts near the Zhenets Nature Protection Scientific and Research Department.

    Having walked about one kilometre along the Zhenets River, you can observe a tiny waterfall with its height of about 1.5 km. There is a beautiful meadow with recreation facilities nearby.

    Then a stone road finishes. Plenty of streams fall down the hills from left and right sides of the trail.

    Along the path through the bridges, you move to the final point of the trail – Huk Waterfall. The waterfall is a strong and a natural source of negatively charged ions, that is why it is both useful and pleasant to stay there.

In the territory of the national park it is forbidden:

Deviation from the route.

Damage to natural objects.

Breeding hearths in places not designated for this purpose, smoking when passing through forests.

Felling and damage to trees plucking flowers, collecting medicinal plants.

Hunting for animals, destruction of their habitats.

Catching fish by any means.

Stay with firearms.

Territory littering, noise.
